Guide to choosing a cleaning product
STEP 1: What kind of surface (or material) are you trying to clean?
Use the list below to find the page with cleaners recommended for that type of surface.
STEP 2: What are you trying to remove (general dirt, grease, odors, bacteria, etc.)?
Each cleaner’s description will provide information on its effectiveness for various types of “dirt,” as well as recommended concentrations.
Of course, our recommendations are based on an average situation; results may vary depending on water hardness, method of application and soil load.
STEP 3: Do you prefer a liquid or a powder and in what kind of package?
Most cleaning jobs can be accomplished with either a liquid or a powder, so it is mostly a matter of preference.
Liquids are indicated by a
next to the product name and are generally available in
quarts, gallons, 5 gallon pails, and 55 gallon drums. Powders are indicated by a
next to the product
name and can be packaged in hampers, pails, boxes and drums (weights vary depending on the density of the product).
